Privacy Policy

How Calendar Status accesses, uses and protects information when you connect Google Calendar and Slack.

Effective date: June 15, 2026

Calendar Status (“the service”) updates your Slack profile from your active Google Calendar events. This policy explains the information processed by the service and the choices available to you.

Information the service accesses

Google Calendar

The service uses read-only Calendar access. It processes event titles, start and end times, visibility, availability, event type and your attendance response to determine the appropriate current status. It does not modify your calendar.

Slack

The service uses your authorized Slack user token to update your profile status and, for lunch events, your presence. It does not read messages, channels or files.

Information stored

Private and confidential event titles are replaced with “In a meeting” before being sent to Slack or stored as managed status text.

How information is used

Information is used only to connect your accounts, identify your current qualifying event, update your Slack status and presence, restore managed presence after lunch, operate the service and troubleshoot failures.

Sharing and sale of information

Calendar Status does not sell personal information or use it for advertising. Information is shared only with Google, Slack and Cloudflare as required to provide the service, or when legally required.

Security and retention

OAuth credentials are encrypted at rest. Connections use HTTPS. Account connection data is retained while you use the service. Operational and expired onboarding records may remain until routine maintenance or account deletion.

Your choices and deletion requests

You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions and Slack workspace app settings. To request deletion of stored service data, email chris5marsh@gmail.com from the Google account associated with the connection.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the service changes. The effective date above will be revised when material updates are made.
